2. 🌐 Our Website

This section covers our website, aplusgamesstudio.com: the contact and quote forms, job applications, APGS Community and the newsletter. The rest of this policy, including your rights, applies to the website as well.

Information you give us

• Enquiry and quote forms — your name, email address, country, phone or WhatsApp number (optional), company, a description of your project, a budget and timeline if you choose one, and any file you attach.
• Job applications — your name, email address, country, phone number (optional), the role you are applying for, your experience, a portfolio link, your message and your CV.
• APGS Community — to create an account we ask for your name, email address, country, an optional phone number and a password, or you can sign in with Google. Your password is handled by Google Firebase Authentication; we never see it. Your display name, profile picture, posts and replies are public. Your email address, phone number, country and email preferences are private: only you and the studio can see them.
• Newsletter — your email address and, if you leave it selected, your country.

The country field

Our forms ask which country you are in, so we can reply during your working hours, apply the right terms and store your phone number with the correct international dialling code. To save you typing, the field is pre-filled with a likely country, based on the two-letter country code that our hosting provider, Cloudflare, derives from your connection. Only that country code is used for this, and you can change the selection before you send the form.

Our website does not record your IP address alongside your enquiry. Our hosting, security and database providers may process IP addresses in their own service logs to run and protect their services.

How we use it

• To reply to your enquiry, prepare a quote, arrange a call and follow up about your project. We may send you follow-up emails about your enquiry; reply and ask us to stop at any time.
• To assess job applications and contact candidates.
• To run APGS Community and send the email notifications you choose when you sign up.
• Our team may use AI writing tools (Anthropic's Claude or OpenAI's GPT) to help draft replies. When we do, the relevant details of your enquiry are sent to that provider to produce a draft, and a member of our team reviews it before anything is sent to you.
• If you accepted analytics and advertising cookies, sending a form is recorded as a conversion in Google Analytics and Meta. These events note the type of enquiry. Our website code does not include your name, email address or phone number in them.

Cookies and browser storage

• Analytics and advertising — Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel start switched off and set no cookies until you click Accept on our cookie banner. Decline keeps them off. To change your choice, clear this site's data in your browser and the banner will appear again.
• Your cookie choice — stored in your browser so we do not ask again on every page.
• A copy of your enquiry — kept in your own browser's storage as a backup in case sending fails. It stays on your device, and clearing this site's data removes it.
• Community sign-in — Firebase Authentication keeps a sign-in token in your browser so you stay signed in.

How long we keep it

• Enquiries — for as long as we need them to respond and to manage any resulting project or conversation.
• Job applications — for as long as we need them to assess your application and consider you for future roles, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
• Community accounts — until you ask us to delete your account. You can delete your own posts at any time.

You can ask us to delete any of this information at any time by emailing hello@aplusgamesstudio.com. We will do so within 30 days, subject to any legal obligation to keep it.

We use the information we collect to:

Virtual items and currency purchased within our games have no real-world monetary value and cannot be exchanged for cash or transferred between accounts.

For applications designated for children, we disable interest-based advertising and only use advertising SDKs certified as compliant with COPPA and the Google Play Families Policy.

We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.

• Account / support data — retained for the duration of your use of our games, plus up to 12 months after last activity
• Analytics data — retained in aggregated, anonymized form for up to 26 months
• Advertising identifiers — subject to the retention policies of our advertising partners
• Crash / diagnostic data — retained for up to 90 days
• Website enquiries, job applications and Community accounts — see section 2

Upon request, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, subject to legal obligations that may require us to retain certain information longer.
